Have you ever heard the word lead? Lead is nothing but contact details of your potential customers, and it can be an email address, phone number or anything which will help you to reach the customers with email campaigns. One of the easiest ways to gather leads is by placing a popup form in your blog or website. On this blog, I will show how you can add pop up forms in WordPress.
Step 1: You need to go to your website’s backend or for WordPress; it’s known as wp-admin. Wp-admin is the universal login for WordPress website. Suppose your website is www.example.com then you need to type the URL as www.example.com/wp-admin.
Step 2: After you log in, you will land on your dashboard. Now you have to make sure that you log in as Admin. It is essential to log in as Admin as only the Admin has editing access over the homepage. Different roles can be assigned to different users on WordPress.
Step 3: You need to add any plugin which will help you to add the popup form on your website. I have used Hubspot form to add the pop up on my website you can do the same as well. After you install the plugin, you will see a new tab called Hubspot. Click on Hubspot tab.
Step 4: You will be taken to a new window, and there you will find a button called Create form. Click on create form.
Step 5: Now you have to choose a type as we will add a popup form you need to select popup form. Click on popup form and click next.
Step 6: You will be given four types of popup form to choose from. You need to select the one which you want to add to your website and click next when you are done with selection.
Step 7: Now, in the callout section, you need to set up the callout options like feature images, text, button text, colour. Provide the details, and when done click next.
Step 8: On the form section, you can select more details like the body of the allout, language, GDPR options, and so on. Make sure you pay attention to every detail and when you are finished click next.
Step 9: Now you need to add a thank you note which your subscribers will see when they finish the subscription process. When you are done with thank you click next to continue.
Step 10: On this tab, you can set up a follow-up email, and this email will be sent to the customers when you subscribe to your blog website. You can create or leave it empty when you are done click next.
Step 11: The options section will let you customize different options like when to show the popup, on which email to let you know that you have a new subscriber. When you are all set, then click next.
Step 12: The preview section will show you the final preview of the form you created. If you are happy with how it looks click the publish button.
Step 13: Now you have the final chance to edit it even further, and if you are happy with how it works, you can click on set it live. This will place the popup form on the live website.
When you are setting the popup form, make sure it does not create irritation for your visitors and place it on such a place where they can easily subscribe or close the form. If you have any queries, please feel free to comment below.
