The dark mode is one of the cool features we see on every application nowadays. Even smartphones are embracing these features. Recently Google chrome has also launched dark mode. Dark mode has a positive effect on your eyes and not to mention it saves battery life significantly. You can also enable dark mode on your WordPress dashboard. On this blog, I will show you how you can enable dark mode on your WordPress dashboard. 
Step 1: To add dark mode on your WordPress website first, you need to do is log in to your WordPress account. To be able to do that you need to go to your website’s backend, and for WordPress, it is known as wp-admin. You need to place /wp-admin after the URL of your website. For example, if your website is www.example.com, the backend URL would be www.example.com/wp-admin.

When you want to add dark mode on your WordPress Website its essential that you login with your admin account or use any user which has administrative access.

Step 3: When we are talking about adding dark mode, we meant by using a plugin. As we all know, WordPress is a plugin-based platform. You need to install a plugin which is called ‘Dark Mode’. Click on the plugin tab to install a plugin.
Step 4 After you click on the plugin tab, you will find a button at the top of the screen, which says ‘Add New’

Step 5: On the add login section, you will find a search option from where you can search for a plugin. On the search bar type ‘Dark Mode’. You need to install and activate the plugin.

Step 6: Now you need to open your user profile or any user you wish to add dark mode. You need to click on the user tab and select the user from there by clicking on the username.

Step 7: The user profile has different options. Under the personal options, you will see a new option called Dark Mode. You need to click on enable dark mode in the dashboard.

Step 8: Now, you have to scroll down and click on the update profile. This will update your profile and enable the dark mode on your dashboard. It will take 2-3 second to apply the dark mode on the dashboard.

The dark mode is a useful feature if you use WordPress from your smartphone as this helps you to save battery life and make you relax a bit.
